Mommy Dearest.

The other day I was sitting in my living room working on my computer and I heard my Mom sewing, just like she always does. She sits in her sewing room working on whatever amazing project she's got going at the time while watching either Dr. Phil or Intervention. So there I am, sitting with my computer, the TV on and Mom's just sewing away on her machine.

And then I realized I live in Idaho and she lives in IowaThe noise was from my Washing Machine:( Poo.

Apparently people like to make hearts for me...in big ways. My Mom mowed this in the grass for me right before I left for College.

My madre is the sweetest most innocent and wonderfully hilarious woman I've met. It's perfectly normal that I call her at least 5 times a day! (Not to mention I use her as my wedding planner)

Shmookins

So I think you guys are going to get pretty used to hearing about my sweet, sweet fiance. It really is something I can't help. If he would just stop doing all these wonderful things then I could stop talking about him, but this is how it's gotta be I guess.. :)

I could go on and on, but today it's just about the little things he does around my apartment. I hope he doesn't mind how I'm making him look like a softie...he's actually really super manly and likes eating steak without utensils and hammering nails and all that stuff.

In my old apartment I had this big mirror. I would come home each night and find something new written on the mirror. I was NEVER able to catch him! By the end of the semester the thing was almost filled. I would love to read these over and over again, I took this picture so that I wouldn't forget and I still read them from time to time. :)

Every once in a while I'll get into my neatly made bed and fall into my fluffy pillows, and think, "wait I didn't make my bed today.."

Jesse told me a story of how he would love to organize his parents shoes because it gave him a little thrill to serve his parents and know that they would notice, but it was his little secret act of service.

When I've been doing homework or working on something else, Jesse will clean my room and make my bed. Man it's so nice to have a clean room and made bed to go home to after a long day! Such a little thing like that means so much!

Okay, one last cheesy thing I promise! Today I was up in my apartment and I come down and I see Jess out there parked in the middle of the parking lot. He's dragging his feet around doing something Jesse-like. When I walk over I see that he has driven a heart in the freshly fallen snow with his car and then got out to spell my name out in the middle of the heart. I tried to get a picture of it, but it was hard to get the whole thing in.

Cheese fest!

Productively Lazy

Yesterday Mckenzie and I woke up around 11:30 (don't judge) and all of our roommates had abandoned us and we had no plans for the day. So like everyone who doesn't have plans on a saturday, we watched Lord of the Rings for 3 hours.

While we simultaneously worked on our blogs for 3 hours...

As we were bloggity blogging, we realized that we should document our whole day so that we would have something interesting to post about today. (Yes, I do practice my smiles.)

...And then we laid on the floor for half an hour gathering up energy.

After I ate a granola bar I had the strength to get up and we decided we should probably go work out to make us feel productive and all that good stuff

We were pretty beastly.

Our intensely productive workout made us realize how incredibly messy our room and bathroom were...

By this time it was about 6 o'clock (time flies when you're being productive!) and we thought that maybe we should step outside for the first time. So we geared up and ran in the rain all the way to my lovely Jesse's work so that we could steal his car.
...And then we bought $5 over-sized sweaters at Walmart

Jesse came home (yay!) and Mckenzie left to go play games (boo). So for the rest of the night we registered at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond and picked out super cute stuff.

I'd say it was a successful productively lazy day :)

A New Day

For a while I've been thinking about starting a blog because:

A. Facebook is getting really old...and seems to be full of immature kiddos
B. I'm so bad at keeping a journal. I think this will help!
C. I'm getting married! (I think that automatically means I'm becoming more mature and everyone knows blogs are more sophisticated... :))
D. My wise sister, Tani, and my soon to be sister in law, Leslie, told me how wonderful and useful a blog is. I can turn it into a kind of scrapbook later in life = Awesome!
E. I may want to brag about my wonderful life every once in a while...or complain about the stresses of wedding planning and such. Who knows!
F. I'm starting to wonder how long this list is going to go on...
G. I made it a goal of mine for a class that I'm taking this semester (Personal Health & Wellness. Love it)
H. It'll encourage me to get out my camera and take pictures more often.
I. A blog will be a new start for me at the beginning of a new chapter in my life :)

Yay for blogs!

This is my fresh start look...deep, right? :)
