Procrastination.

It's no coincidence that my blogging stopped right when school stopped. It's also no coincidence that I'm starting back up right now with school starting in a couple days and with homework assignments that I should be doing instead. Or maybe it is coincidence.... who knows ;)

Annnyyywhooo. Summer was dang good to us. I could bore myself and all of my two followers with a 10 page blog post, but I'll post some pictures of the highlights of our lovely summer instead!

We drove to Oregon to interview Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

And then we discovered that Oregon is a really weird state.

We saw Bill Cosby live. Holy Hilarious.

I started working at a DayCare (again)

I went golfing with Jesse once...and now he goes with his boyfriends. I guess golf is kind of boring if you aren't good? Who knew.

We had a baby! Haha just kidding...

We cruised around and spent the night on the Love Boat for a couple of weekends

 We fished...very unsuccessfully

Jess taught me how to wake surf

I met Herbie at the Driggs 4th of July Celebration

We watched a plane crash...man I'm such a jokester! But it looks like it, right?

We took the kayaks for a spin

We took the hottest ride of our life to Iowa with Kenz and Taybay.

Our transmission was having issues and it seemed like turning the AC off in 110 degree weather was a smart idea?

We had oh so much fun with the fam in Iowa

The boys climed a 14,000 ft mountain in Estes Park, Colorado

Taylor pooped on a 14,000 ft mountain in Estes Park, Colorado

We had a small little reception in Iowa. I loved getting back into my dress!

We spent an entire day at Adventureland

I dyed my tips pink. Purple's next :)

We got a TV...with no TV shows (yet)

And last but certainly not least, we got a maltipoo puppy!

 Caribou (Boo)

And that was the gist of our summer!

...Now I guess I should go do my homework.

Crafts and Motorcycles.

So a week ago today Jess and I went to Porters craft store to buy some decorations for our house. We were pretty excited and spent a decent amount of moola on frames and what not. We were SO dang excited to go home to spend time decorating that we totaled our car! Just kidding. I mean we did total our car, but our excitement had nothing to do with it haha. It was just an accident and fortunately we walked away with only (massive) bruises.

On the less fortunate side, our frames did not walk away with only bruises. They went to frame heaven. My brother drove us home from our accident and we just kind of wandered the house without a car and without any exciting decorating to do.

So this weekend I went out and bought a compact SUV (for the sole purpose of returning to Porters, of course)

I'm not going to lie, I was a little weary of driving back from Porters in my car. Because obviously going to Porters that day made us wreck... but I made it. I swear I could buy everything in that store and not feel bad about it. It used to be a soul-sucking place but now that I have my own home I love it!
Any who, I bought more frames and got a little crafty (aka bored)

People with crafty talent make me sick. All I did was get out a little paint and glue and it was near disastrous. But it turned out okay for my first shot at being a crafty house wife I think :)

I'm telling you, someday you'll see my crafty creations in stores...

This has nothing to do with my ramble of craftiness, but for memorial day we went on a moty ride in the mountains and it was GORGEOUS.

A Reason Why

I found these in our house today as I was going through the closet. These two letters are one of the greatest memories that I keep in my little heart :)

The story:
I was headed on a 3 day back packing trip in the mountains, AKA: no cell zone and no Jess zone. This was a couple of semesters ago when Jesse and I were dating. It was the first time that we had been apart for more than a day. I had decided that it was going to be awful, but Jess made it one of the best times I've had. He slipped me these two little notes on Sunday evening. One for Monday and one for Tuesday and then Wednesday evening I'd come home.

I could not WAIT all day to open it. As soon as we reached our destination and set up camp I hiked to a quiet spot to read his letter for Monday. The letter had been sprayed with his cologne so I could almost pretend that he was there with me if I closed my eyes...and then I kissed that little box where he had kissed before. Weird? Maybe. But I loved it :)

The second day came and as soon as camp was set up I ripped open the second letter. I'll never forget the way my heart skipped a beat and how my eyes wandered over one sentenced over and over again. "I'm going to marry you babe...if you'll let me." It was the first time that I really knew I was going to marry him.

I'm not 30 years old and we didn't live together for 5 years and we weren't engaged for 3 years...thank goodness...and I have ZERO regrets. I get to grow with my husband and live this life with him by my side longer.I know him and he knows me better than anyone, yet we can spend hours talking and laughing together. I know he's committed and I never have to worry about losing him or finding anyone else. Time and feelings are different for every couple, of course, because it's the biggest decision of anyone's life. For me, it was the easiest decision that I've ever had to make... and the best <3

Horse Poo.

Welcome to our reception! Don't mind the 6 inch deep petrified horse poop all over the floor.

I'm pretty sure that Jess and I are loved.
His family has taken this project on...and it's not an easy one!

The project? Make this barn beautiful for our reception in less than a month

His family and our friends have been so willing to help! My lovely bridesmaid, Mckenzie, and I were talking about how wonderful service feels. (I'm not exactly sure if this counts as service on my part since it's for me...but it felt great anyway!)

My lungs didn't appreciate the work as much as I did. They're retaliating now by getting me sick which of course means Jesse gets sick as well. But at least we're sickly before the wedding!

What makes this barn even more special is that it belongs to Jesse's Grandma and Grandpa on  Cooke's Warm Creek Ranch...which, by the way, is located in the most beautiful place ever!

Yeah, it's going to be gorgeous.

 I can't wait :)

Bro-ski

Meet Taylor.
My crazy-fun-smart-missionarystud of a bro-ski (brother)

Taylor and I have always been super close.
Even though I would tattle on him all the time and he would claim I was spoiled...that's family lovin right thur.
Don't mind his Beer pajama pants and my onesie attractiveness.

I look up to this boy so much. He is so smart and is definitely going to do big and great things in his life. He is such a stud of a missionary and always has been with everything he does! When he gets his mind set on something he does everything he can to achieve it.

I brag about him...like a lot. I think he might possibly be the coolest brother...like ever

I haven't seen my bro-ski for nearly 2 years now. He gets back in 13 days! Ahhh I can't wait :) The first time I will get to see him is right before my wedding. The last time I saw him was when I was 16 and in high school... and now I'm getting married.
Mind=blown.

And I also can't wait for him to meet this guy. I think they will get along VERY well :)

Dog Hungry.

About a month ago Jess and I were shopping. While we were there we met a couple who had been married for about a week and she was carrying around the cutest little puppy dog!

Then she let me hold it.

As the cute little thing was licking my face with his adorable puppy dog breath, I was thinking through all the ways that I could steal him.

I have always looked at those women who carry their tutu-wearing dogs in pink purses as somewhat crazy.
But I would dress that cute little fur-ball of love in outfits that match what I'm wearing and I'd buy a leopard print bag to carry him around in and his name would be Princess.
I called my mom and told her that Jess and I NEED a puppy dog. We would even settle for their dog, Moose (the cutest dog alive). I was dog hungry.

Unfortunately we aren't allowed to have dogs in the town house that we're moving in to :( sigh.
So, for Valentines Day Jess bought me a stuffed puppy dog to try to trick my mind into thinking it was real... it didn't quite work, but it was sweet.

One day, we will have that fur-ball of love. But for now we'll settle with a stupid fish or something

My heart is melting

Sneaky Me

I know I'm not supposed to let anyone see our pictures until after our wedding announcements are out...but I couldn't help myself. If you know me well, you know that
patience and I don't get along very well. Someday we'll try to be friends, but today's not that day. And rules?? They obviously don't apply to me.

These are only 2 of the 20 or so. I decided I should be somewhat good. Consider this a sneak peak ;)
